Life in the Fast Lane

Sometimes, we get so busy that everything else is dependent on whether you are too tired or not from work to do something. It's as if you need that extra boost just to decide whether you want to cook dinner or just flop on the couch and slouch.

I went out this weekend even knowing that there are tons and tons of work I have to finish during the weekend in order to meet my Monday morning deadlines. That even though I knew it was crucial I sit tight and work the weekend away, I decided to spend some time with family and enjoy for the time being.

I must say that, it feels good. It is worth the long night ahead working because for the two days of the weekend, I was surrounded by the familiar warmth of the laughter and story telling of those most closest to me.

Sometimes, we get so busy that we forget that we do not live to work, but that we can work and still live. Its just a matter of deciding what is most important to you in your life and then cramming late into the night to meet the Monday deadlines.  ^-^

Like Kindergarten

February 1 is the start of a lot of things for me this year. It marks my first day on the first work I have after my MBA.A new beginning of a new phase. In a way, it is as scary and as intimidating as the first day of school where you know nobody and don't know what will you do. All the kids seem to have their own friends and know what to do where to go and who to talk to. But i know that as time goes on, I will get to know the job and the people and all I can do for now is be me and do the best I can. God save me.
